Fatty acids improve attention in school-age children

Researchers at the University of Australia studied a group of children aged 7-12 years old with ADHD by dividing them into two groups. One group received PUFA (Polyunsaturated fatty acids) and a vitamin/mineral supplement for 15 weeks, while the other received a placebo. The group receiving nutritional supplements improved their performance on attention tests, while the placebo group did not. After 15 weeks, the researchers gave the supplements to the placebo group, who then also improved their performance.
